Written by Shawn

Comedoniano or more commonly known as comedonal acne is a type of acne in which most of the lesions are comedones (blackheads and white heads). This type of acne mostly affects the forehead and chin.

Comedones are the small papules or bumps that are found on the forehead and chin of people with acne. Open comedones are blackheads, the black is caused by melanin which is the surface pigment and not caused due to dirt. Closed comedones are whiteheads, in this case the pore is completely blocked. These comedones form due to plugging of the pores by sebum and old skin cells (keratin).

And the origins of genital acne – clogged pores – are the same as for other kinds of acne. However, we will soon see why genital acne is not really acne in the technical sense. And before I forget, the proper medical term for genital acne is – watch out – Hidradenitis Suppurativa.

Causes of genital acne

The biggest difference between genital and other kinds of acne is that while acne of the face or back is caused by overactive sebaceous glands; genital acne is controlled by the apocrine glands, located in the groin area among other places on the body. Tips and Types of Back Acne Treatment

Written by Shawn

Back Acne Causes

It is often difficult to pinpoint the exact causes of most types of acne, back acne is no different. What is known is that irritation can make it worse. If acne is showing up more persistent in certain parts of your body, such as your back, perhaps it has to do with certain clothing or maybe a backpack. Tight fitting clothing contributes to promoting acne, by trapping sweat against the skin and clogging pores. Sometimes back acne is just caused by a hormone unbalance or poor diet.
