Find Out How to Gain Weight

Written by Shawn

For some people it is easy to gain weight. They go to the gym a few times a week, lift a few weights, hop on the scale and they weigh more. For others, they can work out with a set training program, eat right, sleep right, and still don’t seem to gain any weight. These people are called hardgainers.

Hardgainers are genetically wired differently than other people. Their muscles simply don’t recover from a workout as quickly as other people’s do. When they copy a workout they found in a muscle magazine or got from a super strong friend, this isn’t going to help them bulk up. It will actually have the reverse outcome as they are overstraining their muscles and working out without them fully healing themselves. This will weaken the muscles and make them more susceptible to injury or illness.

Finding a workout that allows for the ample amount of rest is vital for any hardgainer to put on weight. Letting the muscles heal before attacking the weights again is your only chance at bulking up. Working out for 3 to 4 hours a week is the perfect amount of time. One-hour workouts should be as long as you lift.

Remembering to eat right and sleep enough is also extremely important. These details are often overlooked and are just as important as finding the right workout routine. You should mix small, healthy meals into your day and drink a protein shake right before bedtime. Sleeping 7 to 8 hours a night will give the muscles time to grow. This is actually when they grow best.

I use a workout program specifically for hardgainers. After 6 years of struggling to put on even 5 pounds, this program has allowed me to add 28 pounds in just 8 months. I couldn’t believe it and am thankful everyday of my life. Check out No Nonsense Muscle Building
