Finding That Perfect Fit
There is a sense in our culture to look stunning, have pretty or handsome features, and to be popular and charming. The news and media constantly drills into the public that beauty is better than brains and that beauty should be coveted and copied. One of the most important elements of attractiveness is your teeth. We all grew up with our moms saying “brush your teeth before you go to bed” and most of us have tried to keep our mouth clean and looking good so that our smiles shine.
Sometimes that is just not the case as crooked teeth are inevitable and we realize at a young age that our teeth are not going to come in properly. We don’t have to worry about this seemingly horrible problem. Why? Because there have been great advances in science and orthodontics to help many Americans attain the stunning smile they deserve. The biggest advancement has come from Invisalign and their apparently invisible braces. What Invisalign has done is create progressive aligners, like mouth guards, that replace the traditional concept of braces and metal brackets.
The barely visible aligners are rotated one after the other as they get smaller and straighter, trapping your teeth. If you have horribly crooked teeth, it will be easier to see the aligners because of space, or the “buttons” that keep the aligners in place. Sometimes these buttons are put in the front and can make for an unattractive location etc… Whatever the small issues may be it is a small price to pay to get your smile back or get one you have never had. Most of the patients who take Invisalign are happy with the results and say they got their beautiful teeth without any embarrassment.
It’s not easy deciding to spend $4000 on your teeth, or choosing from a myriad of ways to straighten them. If you have exhausted many options or are just starting on your journey, weigh your options, I think you will find Invisalign to be a good one. Your teeth will be straighter, your smile better, and your life that much better. The decision is not an easy one and I wish you all the luck in your endeavor.
