Odd But Effective Tricks For Losing Weight
I want to share some admittedly odd yet effective tricks for losing weight. We tend to think that there are a limited number of ways to lose weight but sometimes it is the sneaky little tricks that we learn that make all of the difference. If you can spare a couple of minutes to read this article you will discover unusual ways to get the pounds off that are as effective as they are odd.
Tricks for Losing Weight
1. Sniffing peppermint during your day. A recent university study showed that people who sniff this powerful aroma during the day cut their cravings and eat less. How much less? Participants in the study ate 2,800 fewer calories a week.
2. A 15 minute stroll. This is the length of time participants in a different university study had to walk in order to lose their craving. A group of people where tempted with their favorite treats and then sent on a walk. They found that it took them 15 minutes to walk away their desire to eat, plus you get the extra exercise!
3. Use smaller dishes. Your mind thinks you are getting more to eat when your plate is full even if you are eating off of smaller plates. At home use small plates and bowls and you will effortlessly eat less and feel just as satisfied.
4. Just take the first step toward exercise. Make exercise more likely by getting dressed in your workout clothing when you first wake up. I use this trick all of the time. You say to yourself, "oh well, I may as well exercise, I am already dressed." Sounds silly but try it – it works.
These sneaky tricks for losing weight will get you out of the kitchen and into exercise effortlessly.
