Stop Drinking Soda and Pop!
Yeah I said it, does this surprise you? Well let’s start off with the average can of pop. It can contain 150 calories 40 of them coming from sugars. This can be approximately 10 teaspoons of sugar in one can of pop!! Did you know a teaspoon of sugar can suppress your immune system for up to 4 hours? This convinces me as to how pop can be a contributor to why so many people are sick and unhealthy. Not only is there sugar in these products but also harmful additives and ingredients.
You know what worries me is that there are people out there that drink multiple cans a day or liters for that matter and think it’s OK. I was backpacking in Singapore last year and saw this traveler who was at my hostel, it was 5 30am in the morning and he was drinking a 2L of pop while on his lap top. It made me sick in my stomach. I wonder if we pointed out what damage that is going on internally if that would make them second guess this habit. I’ve also read that sugar is more addictive then cocaine! That is a scary thought when you put that in perspective.
People, if you want to lose weight and be healthier you need to cut out pop right now! Don’t say that diet pop with “zero” calories is any better for you. There is an ingredient called aspartame which you may or may not be familiar with. This is used as a sugar substitute and there are over 92 health side effects related with aspartame consumption! Some of these effects are brain tumors, birth defects, diabetes, emotional disorders and epilepsy/seizures.
Another scary thought is pregnant women drinking soda which their child would then digest. This is creating a child who would more then likely be hyper active and could have a dependency towards sugars as a result!
You ever notice when going out to a theatre to watch a movie the tv ads at the start? I remember thinking about the “pop” commercials showing how much fun it is to drink their product. I find it hypocritical to promote such a product to our world and pretend they are being ethical about it. That is just my opinion but again I am here to influence you to take better care of your body and health. There are certain things that we should completely avoid and pop is one of them!
