To carry Man through the lean times, the body allowed him to store &#8220;food&#8221; in the form of fat. The body also decided that the best place to do this on a man was around the middle. This still allowed for him to run and climb in pursuit of food. For a woman, the body decided it could pack the fat not only on the waist but also the hips and thighs.</p>
<p>Now if these are the best storage sites, then guess where the body pulls fat from when we do exercise? It pulls fat from places other than the &#8220;best&#8221; storage site like the chest and butt. So while you were burning fat with your crunches, the fat was coming from someplace other than your belly. Spot training will not get rid of belly fat.</p>
<p>So how can you lose that fat and how can you do it quickly?</p>
<p><strong>Here&#8217;s a simple rule on fat burning</strong>:<br />Muscles burn fat. Large muscle groups burn more fat than smaller muscle groups. If all of our muscle groups are exercised they will burn more fat than just a single large muscle group.</p>
<p>So the answer to quickly burning belly fat is a whole body exercise program that will engage all of our muscles. Actually it&#8217;s more than that. Walking for example, engages a large number of muscles but it is not intense enough to get the muscles to burn more than just a little of the fat that is already in the bloodstream. The body is not going to tap into stored fat to support this activity.</p>
<p>So does this mean you have to kill yourself with nonstop intensive exercise? Well yes and no.</p>
<p><strong>Interval training</strong> is an aerobic technique that combines sprinting with walking and jogging. Basically its 2 minutes of walking/jogging followed by 1 minute of sprinting followed by 2 minutes walking/jogging and so on. What this does is tell the body you need more energy (because of the sprinting) and the body will release a hormone that will kick your metabolism rate up and keep it up burning fat long after you&#8217;ve quit exercising.</p>
<p><strong>The same technique holds true</strong> with resistance training. Light weight training followed by push ups or bench presses back to light training. The idea is to show the body an immediate need for more fuel by giving it brief spurts of intense workout.</p>
<p>Couple these exercises with a nutrition plan that maximizes the burn and you have the fastest way to lose belly fat.</p>

<p><strong>Second I started some high intensity training.</strong> High intensity training is exactly that. It takes hard work and can even be a tad painful as you get used to pushing yourself past the normal routines. I have found that quick burst work better than long distance running so here is what I do for cardio. I warm up with some stretching exercises then jog for a few minutes. I then run as fast as I can for 30 to 40 seconds. Make it a good wind sprint. I then jog for the same amount of time and then repeat until I cannot do it anymore. When you push yourself to failure you will see a huge difference.</p>
<p><strong>Third I work out on a regular basis.</strong> It has been proven that a well rounded exercise plan is far better than keying in on just one portion of the body. In other words just doing abdominal training is not sufficient to lose your belly fat. It takes an over-all plan to get it done. We all have six-pack abs. <p>To decrease the amount of sugar in your diet, you should get rid of the sodas and replace them with water sweetened with Stevia packets.  Stevia is natural, has no calories, and taste really sweet.</p>
<p>So, if you want to get a flat stomach, try any of those tips.  Or try them all.  They all work.</p>
